This group meets most Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and some weekend mornings (weather and jellyfish permitting), from April to October, for a swim in Banks Channel. Normally we meet at Wynn Plaza and depending on the tide, and the willingness of our participants, we would swim to either “The Bend” (~1.1 miles) or to just beyond the Coast Guard Station (~1.6 miles) with outgoing tide. We reverse the swim with an incoming tide. Every now and then we might do an ocean side swim depending on the surf conditions.
